Little Adalynn Grace came into this world on June 26 2010. She weighed 7lbs and 1 oz, was 19 ½ inches long and as beautiful as an angle. She was born by cesarean section due to being breach; she was butt first with her feet up by her face. Doesn’t sound so comfortable to me, but that was the exact same way Aynsley was as well. I guess that how they like to grow. During the operation the doctor said that my uterus, pelvis and placenta were all perfect. And that he wasn’t sure why the babies decided to sit that way. The odds of that happing twice in a row for no reason are very small. But that was my luck, but I will never complain. I have two wonderfully healthy girls, and the long and short of it is that I was able to have healthy happy children. The operation went well with no major problems. I didn’t respond as well to the spinal this time. I felt extremely nauseous, breathless, and so out of it. All I wanted was to feel normal so I could enjoy my little baby coming into this world. It took about two hours to start feeling more like myself again. I didn’t even want to hold her at first because I was afraid I would drop her. So Jeff held her close to me so I could introduce myself and love on her. And it was love at first sight for all of us! Adalynn did have some problems for the first few days; she had swallowed a lot of my blood before she was born. And it was just sitting in her tummy making her sick and very hard to hold down milk. They had to pump her tummy a few times to get it all out, for about an hour Jeff and I were very worried that our little girl was going to have to spend some time in the NICU. But thankfully they were able to get it all out, and she recovered with flying colors. She sleeps in 5 hours spells, only cries when she is ready to eat or when you’re changing her diaper or her clothes, and smiles all the time. We were finding it hard to get her to burp, but Jeff has figured a system out that makes it so easy! One of the million reasons he is my prince. She has the biggest eyes and loves to look around, and I think she is already a daddy’s girl. Aynsley is so in love with her baby “sissy” she is always wanting to hold her, feed her, give her kisses and hugs, helping with anything she can from getting her diapers ready and wipes pulled to putting on puppet shows and making sure she always has her binky. She LOVES being a big sister and is doing it so well. When ever we are getting ready to go any were she makes sure we don’t forget the baby, as if I would but I find it very cute that she is so worried about her and looking out for her already.
